Postoperative radiotherapy imp
United States University hospitals of Cleveland Kunos confirmed on late or there are more than 2 clinical radiotherapy in patients with inguinal lymph node metastasis in carcinoma of the vulva, and can significantly improve the survival rate of cancer-related. In addition, inguinal lymph node positive rates >20% can have a significant effect on the same side treatment related to survival rates. Study on the 1977-1984 years of 111 patients with carcinoma of the vulva were included (median age was 69 years old), and randomly divided into two groups-the ipsilateral pelvic lymphadenectomy during operation group (54) and radiotherapy of postoperative pelvic and inguinal lymph node group (45~50 Gy,57). Results show that median follow-up of 74 months later, postoperative radiotherapy for Group 6 lymph node resection in cancer survival rates significantly higher than group (P=0.03), but a combination of 6-year overall survival rate (P=0.53) and recurrence-free survival rates (P=0.13), there was no significant difference. On the 6-year overall survival rate and clinical suspect or identify inguinal lymph nodes Ulcer (P=0.004) and more than 2 inguinal lymph node metastasis (P=0.001). Positive rate of inguinal lymph nodes on the same side >20% and contralateral lymph node metastases (P=0.01), relapse (P=0.02) and cancer-related deaths (P=0.01) significantly related, and may have a significant effect in treatment of relapse-free survival rates (P=0.001), cancer survival rates (P=0.001) and overall survival (P=0.001). Postoperative radiotherapy for groups and group of lymphadenectomy during operation in Postoperative wound infection (56% to), urinary tract infection (11% to) and chronic Lymphedema (25% to) there were no significant differences, diabetes and cardiovascular disease are more likely to occur in patients with chronic Lymphedema (p =0.07).
